Saying "Goodbye" to Religion

I have noticed many Atheists are actually prior Theists. The irony of saying "goodbye" to their former faith is that the term "goodbye" is actually a contraction of "God be with you". Some things you read, really do make you smile.

Im in the midst of reading this book called "Native Tongues" by Charles Berlitz and its amazing how much language actually evolves from religion. Seems its not so easy for people to remove themselves completely from it. ;)

I suppose I could have said "Later, suckers" ;-)

WIN! hehehe. linguistics is facinating.

@Mac: you could have meant it, like "God bless you religious folk cause I don't believe in God, so i wish you well." something like that?

Sure, Luke. I was merely goofing around, not wanting to say "good bye" in light of the post. Go on, enjoy your religion :-)
